What is a Steel Die?
A steel die, AKA:SRD/Steel Rule Die, is most easily described as a "Cookie Cutter" for boxes. These are a one-time charge that is necessary to produce most custom boxes on a large scale.
What is a Print Plate
A print plate is best described as a giant rubber stamp. It is often paired with steel dies. Multiple print plates can be used in succession to print multi-color boxes, with a maximum capacity of 5 colours.
Cardboard? or Corrugated?
Corrugated is typically 3 layers of cardboard: an inner liner, a medium and an outer liner. The medium is laminated in a wave pattern between the two liners, each different thickness of waves is called a "flute".
Flutes are named with letters (B,C,E) and each flute is a different thickness.
